Frequently asked questions
Do copies submitted to AIMA need to be certified?
Not every copy in every procedure. It depends on the document, submission method and applicable instructions. Where a certified copy is required, a competent professional must compare it with the original.
Do foreign documents need an apostille?
They often require an apostille or legalisation, but exceptions and specific agreements exist. A certified Portuguese translation may also be required.
